Candela is a Stockholm-based builder of electric hydrofoiling boats, founded in 2014 by Gustav Hasselskog. Its carbon-fibre craft ride on computer-controlled hydrofoils that lift the hull clear of the water at speed, cutting drag and extending battery range; the C-8 is its highest-volume recreational day cruiser, while the P-12 has carried the same foiling technology into commercial passenger-ferry service, including a public-transit line in Stockholm. The company designs and assembles its boats in Sweden.
