Cosmopolitan Yachts is a Spanish builder of large custom aluminium catamarans, an initiative of Christian Braun with naval architect Iván Salas Jefferson of Iddes Yachts in Barcelona. Its Cosmopolitan 66 is an all-aluminium solar-electric catamaran that combines a battery bank, rooftop solar and diesel generators, with the generators serving as range extenders for the electric drivetrain. Construction of the first hull was planned in Vigo.
