Electric only

Earthling is a New Zealand builder, based in Auckland, of the E-40 Power Catamaran, an electric power catamaran developed by engineer John McGettigan. Its hulls derive from Alan Carwardine's Stealth powercat and are moulded by Asia Catamarans in Phuket, with Earthling fitting a twin electric drivetrain and a proprietary E-Thos control system; a compact DC generator is available as a hybrid range extender. The E-40 has completed a long delivery voyage from New Zealand to Barcelona under electric and hybrid power.
