The Hinckley Company is a New England boatbuilder founded in 1928 and long known for hand-built picnic boats and jet-drive powerboats, historically all combustion-powered. In 2017 it introduced the Dasher, its first all-electric model, a carbon-epoxy composite day boat with a hull by Michael Peters, built alongside its conventional range. The Dasher uses twin Torqeedo Deep Blue motors and BMW i3-derived lithium-ion battery packs.
