The Besla 1100 is a 10.94 m steel canal-and-lake yacht built in the Netherlands to a Vripack design, running on twin electric motors. It is the smallest of the three Beslas, and the one to start with for an owner who wants a proper liveaboard-style cruiser that moves in silence through canals and along the coast.
The numbers, with the caveat that matters
Two Fischer Panda 48-volt electric motors (2 × 10 kW) drive it, with a Victron lithium bank. But it ships as standard with a diesel range-extender generator and a 160-litre tank, which makes it a series hybrid, not a pure-electric boat — the honest way to read it. Top speed is 6.6 knots, a displacement-cruiser figure. The builder publishes the battery only in ampere-hours and range only in hours, so a kWh or nautical-mile figure is left out here rather than guessed.

Besla is built at the Friesland Boating yard in Koudum, a real Dutch steel-yacht builder that also runs a charter fleet. Prices start from €515,000 excluding VAT — this is a luxury cruiser, priced as one, at the entry of a three-boat range that runs to 15 metres.
