Twin 50 kW motors, a 197 kWh in-house LFP pack and a 24 kWp solar array. Helios publishes no range at any speed and no charging time for this model. Cruising is given as a band of six to eight knots, of which the lower figure is recorded. CE category A, the ocean category, is listed by the builder for a boat that is not yet in production. Figures from the builder's model page, read 2026-10-05.

Our take

What a buyer should know

Announced, not available

The Alpha is the top of the Helios range and the only one of the yard's three boats in yacht territory, but like the Sigma it ends in a waiting-list form. The company's August 2026 filing with the Bulgarian financial regulator describes only the Omega as being in serial production, so read the Alpha as a declared project with a published specification rather than a boat you can take delivery of.

The specification, and one caution about it

Helios quotes a 197 kWh pack, two 50 kW motors, a 24 kWp solar array and 14 knots flat out against six to eight cruising, on a catamaran of 15.6 tonnes drawing 0.8 m, with four cabins, twelve guests and two crew. The solar figure is the striking one: that is a very large array for a boat this size, and if it is real it changes the arithmetic of a slow passage completely. CE category A is listed, which is the ocean category — a claim only a certificate can settle, and an ambitious one for a yard whose first production boat is a category C day boat.

What is missing

No range at any speed, no price and no date. On a boat of this size the range is what decides whether it is a coastal cruiser or a genuine passage-maker, and the solar array only means something once you know the consumption it offsets. The name does not match the specification either — it is sold as the Alpha 14.5 while the table says 14.6 m — which is trivial in itself but the kind of thing to resolve before anything is signed.

Written from the builder’s published specifications and the wider market, not from testing the boat ourselves. Always confirm figures with the manufacturer before committing.
