Our take

What a buyer should know

The original Wider hybrid superyacht

The Wider 150 is a 47.05 m hybrid-electric superyacht from the Italian yard Wider — the boat that opened the range, launched in 2015, an aluminium yacht for 10 guests built around a serial-hybrid drive with azimuthal thrusters.

The numbers

Two 531 kW electric motors turn the pods, fed by a 544 kWh battery, with four 350 kW generators making the power. That gives a 14.1-knot top speed and a 13-knot cruise for about 2500 nautical miles, stretching to 4700 at 10 knots, plus a zero-emission mode at 5 knots for up to 30 nautical miles. The aluminium 5083 hull is 8.6 m in the beam and draws 2.2 m. RINA classed. Price on application.

The builder

Wider builds its own serial-hybrid yachts in Fano, Italy, in production under Marcello Maggi since 2019. The Wider 150 is the yard's founding superyacht, below the 49.56 m Wider 165.
