What a buyer should know
The smaller Wider catamaran
The WiderCat 76 is a 23.12 m hybrid-electric catamaran from Italy's Wider — the smaller sister to the WiderCat 92, a twin-hull superyacht for 12 guests now under construction in Fano.
The numbers
It uses a twin-screw shaft hybrid: two FPT IVECO diesels of 456 kW each generate, eight Wider LiFePO4 packs store a net 100 kWh, and two 25 kW MASE generators back them up. The separate electric-motor rating is not published, so it is left out here rather than guessed. That drives a 13-knot top speed and an 11-knot cruise for about 700 nautical miles, and more than 1600 at 8 knots. The GRP hull is 10.48 m in the beam. CE certified by RINA. Price on application.
The builder
Wider builds its own serial-hybrid yachts in Fano, Italy. The WiderCat 76 is its 23 m catamaran, below the 28 m WiderCat 92.
