Specs from the builder’s listing email of 2026-08-29 (David Kendall) and optima-yachts.com: battery "up to 300 kWh Li-ion", fast DC charge in about 1 hour per the flyer. The site says 15 knots top speed, the newer email says 16 — we carry 16. Motor and battery brands unpublished; 1 or 2 double cabins, bespoke fitout. No public price.

Our take

What a buyer should know

What the numbers say

Driving a 10-tonne, 14 m motor-yacht to 16 knots on 100 kW — about 134 hp — is a fraction of the installed power a conventional 46-footer would carry, and it is the clearest sign that the e14 continues the efficiency-first thinking of the smaller e10. Up to 150 nautical miles at displacement speed from a battery of up to 300 kWh works out around 2 kWh per mile, a believable figure for a slippery hull of this size. The claimed fast DC charge in about 1 hour is genuinely rare at this battery capacity — ask what shore-side power it assumes, because a 300 kWh pack charged that fast implies a DC installation few marinas have today.

Configuration and accommodation

The e14 is sold as a bespoke boat: 1 or 2 double cabins, owner-specified fitout, and CE design category B — an offshore rating the e10 does not carry. Twelve passengers on a 4.5 m beam gives real deck space, and a 1 m draft keeps most harbours open. The builder says larger versions are to be developed, so the platform is intended as the start of a range.

What is not published

There is no public price — the boat is quoted individually. Motor and battery suppliers are not named, and the builder's site and its own listing correspondence differ slightly on top speed (15 knots on the site, 16 in the builder's August 2026 confirmation to us — we carry the newer figure). The imagery is renders rather than sea-trial photography, so treat the e14 as a yacht to specify and follow, not one to step aboard tomorrow, and confirm the delivery schedule directly.

Written from the builder’s published specifications and the wider market, not from testing the boat ourselves. Always confirm figures with the manufacturer before committing.
